Coir Industry Awards for the year 2010-11 were presented by Her Excellency the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil and Shri. Virbhadra Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in the presence of Shri.V.S.Vijayaraghavan, Chairman, Coir Board at the National SSI Award function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 2 September, 2011.  Coir Industry Awards for Excellent Performance in the fields of Export, Research & Development, Domestic Market Development, Co-Operative Sector, Largest Fresh Investment in Coir Sector, Best Performed Manufacturing Unit etc. were presented.
